We are transformed when we discover God’s redemptive plan for our lives, which is to know God, find freedom, discover purpose and make a difference.

We transform cities and nations when we share the Good News of Jesus with our community and teach people how to follow Jesus.

Our Values

As a church, we are most effective when we align our values with our mission. Our core values are arranged in such a way that if we follow them, we will be effective in accomplishing our mission.

Following Jesus... (know God)

We love sharing the gospel. It is good news that’s always relevant for our lives. It is everyone’s job to share the gospel.
We are growing disciples. We grow by faithfully engaging God in worship, prayer, generosity and the Bible. God’s will for us is to grow into maturity.
We can hear God’s voice. God speaks to his children affirming our identity in Christ, strengthening us, and leading us in all we do.

Together... (find freedom)

We pursue freedom. Through Christ, we can be healed from our past, free from our bondage and victorious over sin.
We prioritize life-giving relationships. People are most important because people matter to God. We are welcoming and safe. We walk in grace and truth and will be known for our love.
We are family. This is a safe place where people are welcomed to belong, while they learn to believe, so they can become who God has created them to be.

To Transform... (discover purpose)

We are purpose-driven. Discovering our personality, motivation and spiritual gifts help reveal our God-given purpose.
We are spirit-led. We rely not just on our natural ability, but on the infilling power of our supernatural God. The spirit leads us and empowers us to live a godly life.
We empower people. We value the five-fold gifts to equip the church for ministry. We honor people’s gifts and release them into ministry.

Cities and nations... (make a difference)

We serve where God places us. We make a difference when we serve people. Jesus did not come to be served but to serve.
We multiply by developing leaders who make leaders. Our discipleship strategy is simple: reaching people and building lives. Everyone is on a journey, our job is to help them identify where they are at and how they can grow.
We value healthy church government, systems and culture. We value accountability, unity and teamwork. We will stay aligned with our vision and values. We will do everything we can to provide a healthy environment for people to follow Jesus together.

Our beliefs

In essential beliefs - We have unity

"There is one body and one spirit...there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and father of us all..." (Eph. 4:4-6)

In non-essential beliefs - We have liberty

"Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters... Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls... So then each of us will give an account of himself to God... So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God." (Rom. 14:1, 4, 12, 22)

In all our beliefs - We show charity

"...If I hold in my mind not only all human knowledge but also the very secrets of God, and if I have the faith that can move mountains - but have no love, I amount to nothing at all."" (1 Cor. 13:3)

About God

There is one, and only one, God. God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is eternally existent in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are on God.

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the son of God, was conceived by the father through the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary's womb. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless human life, performed miracles on earth, and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross and shedding his blood to atone for our sins. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate his power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from salvation, is available to all, and something to be desired.

About The Bible

The Holy Bible, and only Bible, is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the authoritative Word of God and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

About human beings

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by disobedience toward God called "sin". This separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

About salvation

Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; His death, burial and resurrection. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. Every person who is born again is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers.

About Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

Foundations of Morality

Sanctity of Human Life - We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image with inestimable worth.
Gender - We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders, individually and together, reflect the image and nature of God.
Marriage - We believe that the term marriage has only one Biblical meaning, the joining of one man and one woman together in a single, exclusive union before God. Therefore, we believe God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a husband and wife.
Christian Conduct - We believe that the foundation of the Christian life is love, which is founded on the love we receive from God through Jesus Christ. The life of a Christian should then reflect this love in word and deed toward God and humanity. Quite simply: love God and love your neighbor.

Men and Women Leading Together in Community at Grace

A frequent theological question posed to the pastors and elders of our church tend to revolve around the topic of women and men working together in community. More specifically, in ministry and leadership. Therefore, we are stating a shared theology out of pastoral response to the questions being asked both within our church and in the broader culture. We do not believe that this is an essential doctrine of faith, as in salvation and the gospel, and that within the church there is liberty for differing beliefs. However, the position and practice of our church will follow this shared view that we see taught and modeled across the arc of Scripture.

We believe that men and womenare created equal in the image of God. (Gen 1:26-28)
We believe that full equalitybetween women and men does not mean that women and men are completely thesame. There is goodness and beautyuniquely represented in each gender that profoundly reflects and glorifies God.
We believe that God givesministry and leadership in the church on the basis of grace, calling, spiritualgifts, obedience and character. Therefore, we believe that men and women areequally gifted and qualified to lead and serve as co-laborers in the church.(Acts 2:17-18, 1 Peter 2:9-10, 1 Peter 4:10-11, 1 Cor 12:7-11, Rom 12:4-8,)
We believe that both men andwomen can and should lead, preach, pastor, elder, oversee, minister and befully released in their gifts to serve the church. We believe that men and women doing thistogether will result in a more robust ministry of love and grace than onegender can sustain alone. (Rom 12:4-8, Eph 4:11-13, 1 Peter 4:10-11, 1 Peter5:1-4)
Biblical Examples of men andwomen working together in community include (but is not limited to): Deborah -Judges 4-5; Priscilla and Aquila - Romans 16:3, 1 Cor 16:19, Acts 18:26; Phoebe – Romans 16:1, Junia – Romans 16:7

We do not simply permit, but expressly value, the presence of both men and women in these various facets of church leadership. We believe that the church needs fathers and mothers.
